Tripbod takes San Francisco LAUNCH by storm

Tripbod founders Sally Broom and Liz Sutcliffe were in fine form this week at the Launch Conference in San Francisco. Having won the TwistLDN event earlier this month – they were pitching the Tripbod way of doing things to potential investors, tech geeks and likeminded dudes from the Silicon valley travel tech community.

Sporting their freshly laundered Tripbod t-shirts, they explained the Tripbod travel concept to a crowded room and then adeptly took some penetrating questions from the panel of experts.

Tripbod TWiST Ldn winners pitch live at San Francisco LAUNCH 2011

We were delighted to beat six other stellar start-up companies to win the This Week in Start-ups (TWiST) London event at the beginning of the month, and are pitching in person to investors at the LAUNCH conference In San Francisco this week.

Pitching live online to TWiST host, Mahalo founder, Jason Calacanis, we were voted best pitch of the evening and subsequently invited to participate at LAUNCH, a brand new event created by Calacanis , which will follow a similar format to his previously successful TechCrunch50 conference.

Calacanis praised tripbod founder Sally Broom for the passion and integrity with which she delivered our tripbod pitch.  The whole tripbod team are hoping to repeat this success at LAUNCH, when presenting across two full days to the hundreds of top press, blogger, industry analysts and investors that have bought tickets for the event at the San Francisco Design Centre on 23rd and 24th February.

We are really grateful to be supported at LAUNCH by arguably the hottest and fastest-growing B2B travel media company, Tnooz, who will be following the progress of our tripbod team members – Founder Sally Broom, Co-founder Liz Sutcliffe and Director, Colin Hayhurst – through an exclusive video blog updated daily.
